If you have just bought a computer you may want to know what exact version of your operating system you have installed. That is why we are going to tell you how to see what version of Windows 10 you have . But it does not stop here, because you will also be able to know the version or Build number of your operating system.
We are going to show you two ways to do it by launching two Windows 10 options in which this information is shown to you. Don’t worry because in both cases you will only have to write the name of the application to launch directly from the start menu. You will see that it is something extremely simple.
Knowing the Build number of your Windows is quite important to check if your computer is up to date . When Microsoft releases a new Windows 10 update, it refers to it as Build XXXX, where XXXX is a four-digit number. Knowing the Build number of your operating system, you will be able to check if the last update that has been published has already reached your computer.
Know your version of Windows 10
The first method you can use is to access system information within Windows Settings . It’s in the System section , in a category called About , but you can go directly from there from the start menu. Just hit the start menu and type About your PC . You will see a single application on which you have to click.
In the window you will see different elements, but you only have to look at three of them. In the Edition field you will know which of the versions of Windows 10 you have, and in general it will be Windows 10 Home. In Version you will see the exact version or Build of your operating system, and in System type you will know if your computer and/or operating system are 32 or 64 bits .
Another way to know this data is to open the start menu, write the word winver and press Enter . Doing so will take you to a separate window that will tell you the exact version of your operating system and whether it’s Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, or some other specific version you might have installed.
