Because the iPad doesn’t have a physical mouse or buttons, it seems you can’t “right-click” like you can on a computer. However, the responsive screen of this tablet can facilitate the same basic “right-click” functions. Like all commands on an iPad, the equivalent of a right click must be done through a touch command, i.e. pressing and holding.

Table of Contents

Step 1

Locate a link, page, or image that you want to “right-click” on.

Step 2

Press and hold your finger on the item for five seconds. A menu will appear with options such as “Save“. “Copy“, “Paste” or “Open in a new page”.

Step 3

Lift your finger and tap the appropriate option. If you don’t want to select any options, touch the page outside the menu.
